Since 2020, StarMed’s health heroes have been serving at the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic as North Carolina’s response team.

We’ve administered 900,000+ COVID tests, 500,000+ vaccinations, and 18,000+ viral treatments (monoclonal antibody and antiviral pills). We’ve provided medical services in 29 counties across NC and served more than 1 million patients.

We were the most prominent independent testing operation in NC and operated more than 750 COVID testing sites with experienced mobile medical, safety, and logistics teams.

We did all of this as a trusted partner of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) and several county health departments, including the Mecklenburg County Health Department.

“We have people dying almost every day, still, of this virus. So, it is not over. StarMed’s innovative efforts are helping us reach people from all communities so we can emerge from this pandemic quicker and safer.”

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper at a press conference, June 2021

Within 24 hours notice, we established mobile units and logistics services in more than 500 different settings – indoor and outdoor – including many schools across Mecklenburg County. Our mobile units were agile enough to serve dense urban areas, rural parts of the state, detention centers, and nursing homes. Each mobile team was reliably able to test more than 1,000 patients per day. StarMed’s diverse partners also included colleges, sports teams, speedways, fairgrounds, living centers, shopping malls, grocery stores, theaters, apartment complexes, and breweries.

We learned something from this experience: When it comes to disaster response, we’re ready, willing, and more than able.

Our team is experts in rapid response coordination and execution. Our experience allows us to mobilize and provide first-class service anywhere in the world on short notice.
